Years 5 and 6 visit the Mary Rose 2026 and had a Workshop with The Weald and Downland Museum.
As part of their topic on The Tudors, years 5 and 6 get to visit The Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth. Many of them dressed up in Tudor costume. They were able to look around the museum, they had a workshop all about life on board, where they were able to try on other Tudor-style clothing and hold artifacts from the wreck of the ship. The Weald and Downland Museum visited the school and showed the children how to make beads to ward off bad smells. They also talked about housing and how wool was made.
