English skills are a key priority at our school and reading,  writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation skills are taught rigorously yet creatively across the school. 

Phonics is taught through the Collins 'Song of Sounds' phonics scheme, which was written by two of our very own teachers! 

We use the Collins Big Cat Phonics for Letters and Sounds Reading scheme to teach our children to read which aligns with our phonics programme.
